I got myself this bargain of a chair for £3! And a rather dirty old school desk..
I painted the chair in gloss white and patched up the tear with some polka dot ribbon.
The desk has some comical graffiti on the inside that I decided to leave, but the chewing gum I chiseled off.
So now we've a pretty cool study desk for those dissertations.
I also picked this up from a charity shop for £3.50. Gave it a coat of white and pasted some patterned paper to the top.
Unfortunately a bird decided to crap on it. Isn't that meant to be lucky?
But it was saved! And looks quite groovy.

I spent the afternoon with the colour red and an off cut of wood. I'm feeling very London/Britannia/Kitsch recently and therefore focused on the mini and route master. I have some yellow ink too so expect to see some Orange Beetles soon...

Entered a Lomography competition to get some of my snaps in the London Carnaby store. The picture of the store wall is a bit unclear and I can only work out 2 of my photos for sure. I also know that Dan and Tom were successful. Hopefully one of us will make it into the shop to see them soon, in the mean time many a Londoner can enjoy Dan's short shorts.
In other news I have 3 pieces of work in Ramsgate at the Belgium Bar on show for SeaArt. Another fisheye of Dan, a chalk carving and some plates. Hopefully I'll make a sale.

If you are stuck for things to do in Thanet (likely) then I recommend a visit to the Harbour Arm Gallery, see Helder Clara’s (Flickr) installation of knitted jellyfish made from recycled fabrics. Its open every afternoon and evening and he is really friendly for a chat about the work. If you are lucky he will close the gallery doors and reveal another aspect of the works.
After that a visit to the Old Midland Bank Pilgrims Hospice bookshop where Dan picked up a McCartney world tour program from the 80’s for £1.50.
Finally ‘Be calm and have a cupcake’ in the very Cath Kidston inspired chic cupcake cafe in the old town.

Inside is an article about Collect at the Saatchi which I dragged Dan too sometime back in May. We saw a £1000 coat hanger a necklace made of cut up colouring pencils. See somemore here.
At Collect I also found the exhibition catalogue for Slash Paper under the knife, which I saw in New York (and have previously blogged about) The catalogue sold out and was out of print, I hunted for months to find one. So I was really excited to find a copy at the Collect book shop for £40. Today I thought I would check out if the book had gone back into print and searched Amazon. I found this.
